Usually 3-4 races sometimes sooner or sometimes later (and mostly if i play completely different landscapes), but its always, unless yea i play in maximized window.Īlthough it looks like i can play full screen and only alt+tab to windowed mode when its loading the next map and then back to full screen. I can play DX11 fine in maximized window (auto hide taskbar to get bigger fov heh), but if im full screen when it loads the next map boom it freezes with C000005 error. I've been fiddling with this game for some time now and the only permanent fix is windowed maximized mode.

But i saw the same pattern like by Dirt2, once i raised advanced mem timings/lowered my OC to my std stable 440mhz fsb (1056mhz) it almost stopped CTD, well i had one after a good hour, but i didnt have (never had) the timings set like now by Dirt2 atm.Īlso i changed that Worker thread to core 1, like mentioned in the 1st page just to be sure in both Dirt2 and 3. Weird stuff, also worth mentioning now that they updated Dirt3 to 1.2patch i had a high pitch sound freeze a couple of times, while before i never had that only CTD.

This was at 445mhz fsb (3.56ghz) - ram 1068mhz. When i had it set at 5-5-5-15 advanced: 5- 4-10-70- 6-perf.lvl7-auto-2t it crashed after 2nd map, but now i changed to 5-5-5-15 adv.: 5- 5-10-70- 5-perf.lvl7-auto-2t and it stopped.Īlso in both cases i used MCH clock skew at 50ps (i always used normal - defualt) and this seemed to helped too in the end. I somehow managed to use the right combo and it didnt crash after ~15-20 races, heh I never played Dirt2 (dx11) so long without freezing after loading the next map (60-70min, otherwise it happened either after 15-25min, or sometimes sooner). The main cause is/was, at least it looks so, advanced memory timings/latency.
